Chat does this by being a long-form community where topics will remain from day to day unlike the megathread, and it is distinct from c/chapotraphouse in that we ask you to engage in this community in a genuine way. Please keep shitposting, bits, and irony to a minimum.

As with all communities posts need to abide by the code of conduct, additionally moderators will remove any posts or comments deemed to be inappropriate.

The emoji tag search is working if you use the emoji browser. (The smiley button)

The search is like a badly sorted library though. With meta data of the icons the search could become semi workable till our emojis exceed the storage capacity of the Earth.

Freeanotherday showed me that in fact does search tags. You just have to type in words semi correctly.

The search in the emoji browser (the smiley button( has tags now.

I think it does a pretty good job.

~~It is matching what you type in the search with the emoji name though.~~ So for :no-fash: it doesn't help when you think mussolini upside down etc. It does in fact search tags!

There's a better search that uses tags. Click the smile button beside bold, italics, and link button.

@[email protected] can you explain to them better then I can ? Lol

Tried it and it works, the explanation was good enough :-)

Thanks!

What are you on ? Loads pretty fast on my shitty android.

Android too. Idk, I've always found the emoji finder chugs hard, to the point of impacting usability. I've also got dogshit internet so that probably doesn't help.

The inline :wordfragment: format works well enough for me, and limits the number of images I'm trying to load at once
