The NES era is the first era that has some lasting games to it that aren't just relics of their time.
I started with an Atari console; I'm that old. I should be nostalgic for it but no, the NES is the start of games actually being worth playing decades later.
The Sega Master System had some great obscure games I've only watched reviews of recently, too.
