Sorry for the late reply, i had a tough week. I really appreciate your reply and the amount of time you spent gathering these. I tried to listen to each one of them and well.... Aside from polyphia ( they went directly to my relaxing songs Playlist ) i didn't really like anyone else because as soon as i start to really enjoy the song they started to scream.
Nothing else matters is one of my favorite songs and i enjoy listening to the instrumental of sweet child o' mine. both are already two of my favorite songs but this doesn't make me like metal any more because as you said, they're more of a ballad style songs. Doom soundtracks on the other hand is something i listen semi-regularly but again no screaming nor vocals.
Finally, I don't think all screaming is bad. There's rare cases when the raw emotional scream of pain can truly make a song unique (long ago, i remember i watched a vid about a northern metal band with such raw screams of pain as he yelled "why" to the SA he suffered from his own mother)
