This looks pretty interesting. I picked this game up when it first launched in EA and wasn't super impressed with it. Is it worth coming back to at this point or is it still feeling pretty empty?

Define empty? They've added a few new features and mechanics iirc, but overall it's still very much a sandbox game and similar to the original. I.e., go run around and do whatever you want, but it generally turns into simulating the same battles a ton of times.

It's fun to go back to every few years for me, but I can't ever seem to get over the mid game.
