That's not a compliment, of course.
I'm no expert on this, but it definitely reads like "lol this is as good as it gets for these asshats. It's a one way road to eternal hellfire from here"
A bit more like 'they seek the approval of men, and thus that is their reward: the approval of men, no more.'
Indicating their prayers go unanswered.
