In any case, a major congratulations and good luck to Zohran Mamdani, the democratic socialist who won the Dem Party primaries for NYC mayor!
As soon as a progressive wins a seat, if they don't fix 100% of problems within 30 seconds, they're part of The Establishment and are dead to the movement.
Let's see if the Democrstic Party holds to their unofficial stance that this race is effectively a referendum on the party's future.
Yeah. Also he's the democratic candidate for mayor, the election of mayor is not until November 4, so he has 2 months to solve all of NYC's poverty issues, before he could even possibly be in the mayor's seat.
Plenty of time for a real progressive to do their work, right?
