German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has expressed respect for Israel's attack on Iran, calling it a service to Western allies.

"This is the dirty work that Israel is doing for all of us," Merz said Tuesday on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Canada in an interview with German broadcaster ZDF.

Didn't German make up am excuse early on that they can't support Ukraine because it was at war now?

Israel never faces such obstacles no matter what it does.

So, Germany has two very notable and frustrating geopolitical blind spots around Israel and Russia.

Like, I get it, but at the same time, all of the regimes in question have changed COMPLETELY from the 1940s, and giving former enemies - and countries that grew out of a population you genocided - carte blanche because you feel guilty about the past is just… woefully, horrifyingly reductive and shortsighted.

Oh I don’t think German politicians necessarily like Isreal I think everybody who isn’t a complete moron or paid shill knows what they’re doing is wrong, they’re just to scared of them to do anything with out big daddy USA backing them up.
