I don't think he's from there, I think he consciously decided as an adult to move there, which makes it worse. I won't lie, I've enjoyed many of his films in the past, but his connection to israel makes it hard for me to ever want to watch any of them ever again.

My man moved from a settler colony to another colony. Maybe he's trying to collect them all and will move to Australia next.
He moved there because he married some Israeli singer. It's pretty cringe how he made a movie about American heroes killing Hitler, and now he's doing photo ops with the IOF as posted in another comment.
Besides, the ending of that movie is BS, as if it'd be a problem for Hans Landa in the US that he has a swastika carved into his forehead.
