UK Politics
General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both [email protected] and [email protected] .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.
Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.
Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

This is one of those things where I assumed it anyway was banned. Although I feel like there are still crocodile-skin handbags, so I don't know why I assumed that. ๐ค
In the case of crocodile/alligator leather, atleast the Meat doesnt go to waste.
I mean people eat crocodile, and they have to be regularly culled anyway because their populations in some areas are a bit out of hand and they present a danger to humans and to ecological balance in the area.
If they're being killed anyway, why not utilise the skin?
Of course, animals being farmed in poor conditions is a different matter entirely. That should absolutely be banned (and for fur trade, it is).
