I feel like it was just an excuse to hamper activity on the sub or they would have told you what the rule-breaking post was.

I thought we got banned because we said JOHN BROWN DID NOTHING WRONG how were we promoting hate
We got banned for "breaking rules." They never specified which ones in their announcement.
One time a turbolib told me that the subreddit universally wanted Trump to win based on a handful of users saying it as a hypothetical. When I explained this to them, they pivoted to arguing that we wanted Trump to win because we break the rules.
It's very uncivil to say slave owners should be killed 😤 You need to consider both sides of the issue of owning human beings as property.
