Is there any way to remote-desktop over a wired connection? (self.techsupport)

I have a desktop computer (running windows) and a chromebook (running xubuntu), and I'm looking to do this so I can use the desktop's processing power to play games in bed

P.S. Some latency is fine, most games I want to play aren't real-time anyways

We’re you thinking that Remote Desktop was wireless only? I’m pretty confused by the question.

Based on that response, I've got a follow-up:

Were you hoping to DIRECTLY wire the two computers together with an Ethernet cable? Or do you envision both computers are wired to a router?

Still doable in either case, but the former would require some relatively simple additional configuration steps.

Wire them directly, but I ended up going with bluetooth (it's latency was surprisingly low)
