Amazon spent billions to buy the company and millions more to get the legacy producers out of the way. I’m sure they want a return on that.

So if they are going to make more, we as consumers want then to be good, don’t we?

personally I wouldn't care if the franchise died as long as amazon was hurt maximally in the process.

OK and...? So because Amazon bought the franchise I am supposed to care about this dated character from the 60s appearing in New films?
