Was wondering if I could just get some help with the searching communities on this instance. I'm trying to look at other communities like [email protected]. It doesn't seem to show up in the search bar so when I try to modify the URL to take me to the community, this error shows up. It's a bit strange since lemmy.world is federated.
To search for communities nobody has added yet, you need to add the exclamation mark in front, as the others have indicated. Do that with your search, and it should link after a few seconds. If it doesn't, try click search again, things sometimes are a bit slow since it's federation based.
