The excess humidity is mostly from drying clothes inside and cooking, not heating (I don't have gas, I have "temporary" portable electric heaters after the ducted heating stopped working). Before the dehumidifiers I often had so much condensation build up I had water running down the walls and windows - there would be puddles on the windowsills. So I'll see how it goes, but the house seems to be fairly self-humidifying for the most part!

@RustyRaven yikes! That's nuts if not using gas! Yeah you'll probably be fine then.
