I like Leon but the fact that Colby is getting a title shot tells me the UFC welterweight division really needs an injection of exciting talent. JDM didn’t exactly light the world on fire in his last fight, Brady can’t get fit, Shavkat needs a matchup. I think MVP is exactly what the UFC needs to bridge the gap between the current top five and the future.
Colby getting a title shot doesn't really have anything to do with a lack of talent in the division. 170 has plenty of solid contenders, for some reason they're getting passed up for a guy that hasn't fought in years
