I'm always hungry. I eat throughout the day even when it isn't breakfast or lunch. Could I get in trouble with my boss about this or is this fine?

Original Title: Where im from people in the grocery store is like "oh im so sorry. were you ahead of me in the line?". "no no you just go ahead". where i live now people will skip ahead, rush to go before you. and let their friends get a spot in front of them. How to deal with this? i find it super disrespectful.

many people grew up drinking coffee or tea, and thus drink that as they get older. however, i grew up in a similar way with diet coke. there was no coffee or tea in the house- the drink of choice was diet coke. however, diet coke was recently declared carcinogenic so i tried to stop drinking it and switch to coffee. i like coffee, but nothing compares to a ice cold diet coke for me. i also heard diet coke is carcinogenic, but the evidence was inconclusive. i used to drink way too much diet coke, so much so that i once almost got sick from it. do you think if i cut my diet coke drinking down to 1 20oz or 16oz bottle a day, i will be okay? i would probably be drinking 4 of these a week.

Im not American so I’m a bit unclear on what the practical effects of this decision are (assuming it stands up to appeals.) Can he just no long do business in New York? Can he move the business to Florida but still own NY property, or will he have to divest of all NY real estate? I’m very curious about the actual impact of this, though I’m sure the full extent is still unclear to most people.

Thanks!

I'm 24 and I don't feel like 24. Idk what it's like to be 24, but I still feel sometimes like that awkward 12 year old divorced-parents-clichéd-kid, but generally I still feel like I'm just a teen.

I was talking to dad about this and he said he also felt like he was still just 17ish and still figuring out what he wants to do when he grows up, despite having a very stable career in engineering. Most people have also mentioned that despite their age they still feel like they are between 15-20ish (except some back or knee pain).

Do you ever start feeling like your actual age? I don't necessarily mean feeling like a grown up, but just like you are actually getting older

Whenever I watch a Western show or movie, people are always just showing up on other people's houses unannounced (they can be friends, acquaintances, or even just coworkers). Do people actually do that?

Or is that just a thing in movies to cut out parts where people are like "Hi can I come over?" ???

Or am I just from an entirely different culture?

My roommate drove their car into the ground so I have to drive them. They told me one of these days I'll wake up and see my car gone because they want to go to concerts in different states. I told them no and they laughed and said "No seriously Im going to jack your car for a few weekends."

Can I report the car stolen if it comes to that or does it not count for roommates?

This is a tech question, not a political question. Please don't turn this into some political flame war.

But as the title says - if I can log online to pay my mortgage, manage retirement funds, send money to people, and so on, then why can't I vote online? I understand that this is probably a very stupid question, but isn't that was this sub is for?

My sister, who has always resented me for being favored by our parents, blew up at me for stealing their attention and making her miserable. Although I understood her frustration, her harsh words hurt. After being forced to apologize by our parents, she sent me a lengthy apology, but it felt insincere. Later, I met a guy named John and we started dating. My sister seemed friendly when I introduced him to my family, but looking back, she was too touchy with him. It turns out she had an affair with him and is now pregnant with his child. I confronted her, and she showed no remorse, only boasting about her relationship with him. As a result, I ended the engagement and kicked him out of our shared apartment. He admitted to the affair but showed no remorse either. I'm devastated and unsure of how to handle the situation.

Sexual preferences aside, your copy can be the opposite gender if you want. But everything else is the same. Personality, mannerisms, values, etc. Do you think you would be able to be with yourself as a romantic partner?

I’ll see all over social media at how a woman’s body count needs to be low to consider getting with her. This is such a weird concept me and my friends can’t understand. I’ve never seen anyone mention or care about it over here. Is there a genuine reason behind it or is it just one of those weird American culture things that the rest of the world struggles to fathom?

If you sleep nude what is your plan when there is a fire? Do you just run out? Do you take the time to get dressed and risk the smoke inhalation?

I'm not talking sneezing... I work with sweet old Christian ladies and often get "God bless you, dear" as a phrase of gratitude. I'm not Christian, but I appreciate the gesture. I've never learned how to respond. I feel awkward saying nothing. Do you say "thank you"? "You're welcome"? "Amen"? "And you, too"?

So the other day I went until like 3 or 4 pm before eating at all and I've been putting off getting groceries. I had a can of chef boyardee ravioli in my pantry. I remember it being good as a kid and alright as a teenager. But when I heated it up this time it tasted like cardboard coated in wet corn starch in a vaguely tomato tasting thin ketchup. I couldnt even finish it i actually opted to ignore hunger pains until getting food the next day. Was it always like this and did my pallette just grow or did it used to be at least ok at some point?

I have court tomorrow afternoon and honestly I'm freaking out. I was arrested last month for driving with a suspended license. Now, some context: I did not know my license was suspended. And no, I'm not just saying that, I mean I literally had no idea it was suspended. I was NEVER informed, no letter no nothing. When I called the secretary of state I was informed the reason was because I needed to get SR-22 Insurance due to a car accident I got into back in January, (no car insurance at the time hit ice then a tree). Did my court hearing over zoom, showed my new regular progressive car insurance, Judge accepted it, had to pay a fine with 6months traffic probation. Now I had never even heard of SR-22 Insurance before let alone that I needed it. I have it now obviously, and my license was immediately restored, but I still committed a crime in the eyes of the law. Also, this is my first criminal offence in 30yrs (my entire life). What do I do? I'm sure the judge will have heard the excuse "I didn't know it was suspended." a million friggen times, but in my case I honestly did not know. I'm freaking out and need some advice on how to handle this tomorrow. P.S: Please no jerks or trolls. I'm already scared as it is. What I need is advice and support. (Seriously hoping a lawyer sees this)

Apparently some coworker saw me go into a local dispensary wearing a dress shirt with my company’s logo on it. I don’t remember for sure but I go to the dispensary once a week generally after work and every now and then I do wear collared shirts with the company’s name on it. I live in a metro with 1 million+ people and the dispensary I go to is nowhere near my work so I am a little surprised but whatever.

Either way, he told some other coworkers and he’s being weird about the whole thing. He told me it was as bad as going to a bar and getting drunk while wearing a company shirt which I laughed at. I live in a legal state and also have my medical card so I’m not like worried about him telling my boss or anything it’s just weird to me and I’ve been almost feeling guilty about it.

I've only really had a base level knowledge of what QAnon even is, but today I was researching into it out of curiousity. One thing I don't understand and can't seem to find online, why did people ever begin Q to begin with? What was the inciting incident? Did they make a correct prediction or something accurate that made people believe them?

I always feel positively nostalgic remembering the first glimpses that I can recall, I was in the garden (prolly I was 4-5 yo that time) with my parents on a rainy day, and my father was taking fresh carrots out from the garden. If you remember any such visual let me know
