Original Title: Isn't it kinda pointless to bring up religion in philosophical questions? We should just ignore the fact of a higher power and completely speculate and ponder the world through things we can see/hear/touch.

It was always portrayed in American TV and movies growing up and my mom never made me breakfast before school. Hell I barely woke up early enough to go most days anyway.

Some schools start really early and am wondering wth time mom's had to wake up to even do all that!?

Moving out soon, I’ve had a bad experience with a previous roommate so I’m skeptical on living with another one. I also like being alone for the most part. I like to socialize sometimes but when I go home I’d like it for me to be just me by myself. Just curious if it’s worth it for me to pay the extra $200-$300 monthly to live by myself? Has anyone done both and can share their experience? I only make $15 an hour, work about 37 hours a week. Rent would be anywhere from $750-$1,000 monthly depending on what apartment I find. I have $40k in savings though. I figured I could afford it but just worried I wouldn’t be making any progress in terms of adding additional money to my savings

As a young male (30Y), I’m seeing many of my friends, male, struggle with maintaining social connections and often ending up being lonely. They don’t speak up to me about it nor with anyone else.

I’ve seen some friends speak to their partners about it.

Is it just me who is seeing a rapid escalation of this among men? What’s happening?

I usually sleep until 7:00am alone and 9:00-9:30am when I’m with my boyfriend. I pretty much go to sleep the same time regardless of whether I’m with him or not. Most couples that I’ve asked have experienced this. Does this have something to do with hormones?

Im sorry my english isnt too good, but i keep seeing people asking this question and I wonder aswell but nobody has an answer.

When you pick up your luggage at the airport its so easy to take somebody elses stuff? But nobody does it. I mean of course because most people have a moral compass but there must be people who dont.

I just got into a bed that someone else made and had an absolute panic attack when I realized my feet were trapped. Really trapped! It was like 20 ft of blanket tucked under there! It's not even an aesthetic thing because there's a footboard and you can't even see.

I saw theories of how the towers collapsed and went straight down, but weren’t they built smd designed that way?

Also the owner took out an insurance policy right before, but wasn’t that building attacked before?

And people use his reaction against him, I thought it was very professional, staying calm for the kids without working everyone up.

Also how would the entire administration spend so long coming up with an entire plan and not one person has ever leaked anything?

I shower once every two days, unless I happen to work out one day and stink but some of my friends treat me weird and say that it's weird to barely shower like that altho they never found me to stink, so uh I'm considering this a second opinion

I fully expect some humorous answers to this and welcome that in addition to some truth.

Can someone please explain to me why almost every man I've ever come across refuses to go into a woman's purse to grab something even if asked. What brought up this question: Right now I carry a small purse....like the size of a clutch so not much in there. Tonight I asked my bf to grab my vape out of my purse cuz it was quite literally sitting right next to him. Knowing guys (including him) and their weird feelings about doing thiwls I tell him "just open it and it's like the only thing in there with my chap stick" nope he grabbed the whole thing and handed it to me. I kinda understood him doing this when I carried a big bag....cuz it's a big bag and they get lost lol but a tiny one? I don't get it.

It's been this way with every guy I've been with. Any guy friends and even my brother. I remember one time in particular asking my brother to grab something out of there and he brings me the whole thing and said "I ain't going in there" he was like 30!

It's not something I ask guys to do a lot and I'm not lazy it's just something I've noticed and am seriously curious about. Why are guys so afraid of women's purses? What do you think we keep in there. If you are specifically told you can go in there to grab something (sometimes my bf's stuff is in there and he's asking for it....still brings me the whole damn purse lol) why won't you just grab it???? Lol

Seriously, every other week I visit Costco price seem to have gotten significantly up. I used to get this coffee bag for ~$13 just a few months ago and now it’s $21. Butter was ~$6 now it’s $12. Baby formula has gotten at least $9 up since a month or two ago. Every single thing has gone up (except for eggs for some reason). I’m really scared I won’t be able to afford things soon.

It makes no fucking sense to me, it's a public forum and checking out who you are typing to takes about the same amount of time as the reply you would typed.

Reddit literally gives you the tools to do this in their app with one click and a side scroll, is this person into the same stuff I am? Is this person not compatible with me? Do they seem worth engaging with?

Can someone explain it to me?

Early edit: I get that reddit is supposed to be slightly anonymous but if you have an opinion that can be used against you and you worry about that, why not use a throw away account?

I went on a weekend trip with my girlfriend and her friends. I noticed that all 5 of them showered in the morning. I showered at night as they all went to bed. Is this a cultural thing? (I’m Hispanic-American while they were all white). Is morning or evening better?

So I don’t do drugs. Like, at all. Alongside of that, I don’t really like to take meds aside from the occasional Aleve/ibuprofen. Well, I was involved in a bicycle accident over the weekend, and I’m sore. Very sore. Road rash, aching joints, limping. I’ll be fine. But in my agony this morning, I was going through the medicine cabinet & came across my wife’s hydrocodone. “UH, that’ll do!” I took one, limped down the stairs & got my work day started. About 45 minutes later, my wife came down & asked how I was feeling. I told her “So bad I took one of your hydros.” She says, “You have a drug test coming up, go throw up.” (I’m currently being onboarded for a new job). After a brief disagreement, I went back upstairs and “pulled the trigger.” Wasted all my delicious coffee. Well, no pill came up & I was stoned outta my gourd for the first half of the day. This is the first pill I’ve taken in 2 years… am I gonna bomb this urinalysis?

I took ONE hydrocodone-acetaminohen 7.5-325

I’m 5’6 225lbs

You always see commercials for men with Low T, but you never hear about "low estrogen" for women.

Why is this? Is it just rarer for women to encounter estrogen deficiencies than men with testosterone?

what would low estrogen in women look like?

I’m 35 but every time I get ID’d the person says, “oh wow,” or whatever. What’s something funny and quick to say back? I never really know how to handle it

My dad is dying from cancer, maybe with in the next few days. What do I ask him about? (Financial, funeral, and everyday living details are in place). I’m struggling as he’s not really an emotions person, doesn’t volunteer thoughts and memories. I’ve been sharing my favourite memories of him and our family, but doesn’t feel like enough? I’m worried I’ve wasted our time together and not had enough meaningful conversations.

Ok so as the title states, I'm going to jail for what's likely going to be 60 days. My 7y/o son is my biggest fan. He's my little buddy. I try not to lie to him so I will tell him that I'm going to jail. (It's for traffic violations for those who are wondering....I have an insane amount of points and the judge is not a fan). Anywho, I don't know if I should tell him now so that he is prepared or if I should tell him the day of court. I would like for him to be prepared but he's also 7. And I don't want it to weigh on him all week...

I read through the stuff these poor people have to go through and I wonder how anyone could be so messed up. I mean, we see corrupt politicians, greedy billionaires and entitled Karens every day, and these are people in the spotlight who have let wealth, authority or privilege go to their heads, but then we see that even without these corrupting factors, even if you peel back the floorboards it's just more cockroaches

So I was at a wedding last night, and my brother and his fiancé were introduced to my coworker and her husband. My coworker, who is usually an introvert, blatantly says "your wife is beautiful, I don't know how you got her" with a snarky little smile. I tried to tell my brother that she was just busting his balls, but he says this isn't the first time he's heard this.

So my question:

is this something people say to bust balls or are they truly implying that the partner is too good for them based on physical appearance?

Strange question but I was watching a video of some Americans going through a drive through and when it came time to pay, it looked like they handed the worker their card to pay.

I’m in Canada and they give us the machine and we can either tap (the popular method) or put in our chip and pin. I definitely wouldn’t feel right handing my card off. Please help clarify my confusion.
