Should also have a drop menu

If I hover over my name I can select "Notifications" and they there are hundreds (or thousands) of posts. Are any of them replies to comments I've posted? What are they? How can I see/find replies to the comments I have posted.

As things are I have to click on the link, whitch directs you again to the individual post and then you have to click AGAIN to make the image full screen. Thats also IF the image is viewable from KBin at all. Some times you have to click a link to see an image that is posted else where. Minor anoyance but images are a large part of a public forum such as it is.

As things stand, I think the fastest way to get there is to click my name, then click Profile, then scroll all the way to the right to Subscribed - and even then the list I get is a) sorted by when I joined (rather than alphabetically) and b) spread over multiple pages when you're subscribed to enough magazines (meaning sometimes further clicking and scrolling is needed).

What that means is that if I want to go to (for example) [email protected] (which is on the second page of my subscribed list), then it takes me 5 clicks and 2 scrolls to get there. Whereas on Reddit, if I wanted to get to r/london, I could do it in 2 clicks and 1 scroll (on the Baconreader app) or 1 click and 1 scroll (on the website - where the list of my subscribed subreddits was already there on the left of the screen).

In the grand scheme of things it's not the biggest problem in the world, but the number of clicks needed to get to smaller magazines (who routinely get crowded off my feed) is proving a UI frustration.

Picture for fun, but a store with branded gadgets launched at the right time is not a bad idea in my opinion. #kbin #kbindesign #kbinDesign

Content a little more than usual so a post on microblog will be suitable for its presentation on average.

The minimal version of the landing page, which may or may not replace the current kbin.pub site, is practically ready. All in all I would call it more of a sub-minimal version :)

  • The contact form is ready (but not connected to anything because I don't know the requirements or even the destination address :D)

  • The instance page is ready (but there is no filtering as there are currently 5 instances active)

  • The mobile version is ready (but a few things are lame, e.g. navigating the documentation subpage, because there is no documentation :) )

  • no animation (I'm chasing a bit of other tasks :/ but maybe I'll be able to do something about it later)

  • The blog is ready (but I forgot the pagination, lol)

The current state can be seen in the video below, , or you can use the code in the repo: https://codeberg.org/rzeszutek/kbin-landingpage
