AMMAN, 27 May 2025 – “In a 72-hour period this weekend, images from two horrific attacks provide yet more evidence of the unconscionable cost of this ruthless war on children in the Gaza Strip.

“On Friday, we saw videos of the bodies of burnt, dismembered children from the al-Najjar family being pulled from the rubble of their home in Khan Younis. Of 10 siblings under 12 years old, only one reportedly survived, with critical injuries.

“Since the end of the ceasefire on 18 March, 1,309 children have reportedly been killed and 3,738 injured.

In total, more than 50,000 children have reportedly been killed or injured since October 2023. How many more dead girls and boys will it take? What level of horror must be livestreamed before the international community fully steps up, uses its influence, and takes bold, decisive action to force the end of this ruthless killing of children?

A Gaza Freedom Flotilla vessel was attacked with a drone strike in international waters off the coast of Malta, the Freedom Flotilla Coalition reported, as Palestinians in Gaza face mass starvation and a mounting death toll from child malnutrition.

The civilian ship, Conscience, was carrying life-saving humanitarian aid to the besieged enclave when it was struck by drones shortly after midnight Maltese time on Friday, May 2.

The attack, which took place on the morning they were scheduled to depart, triggered an SOS distress signal. According to the coalition, 30 international human rights activists were aboard the unarmed civilian vessel, part of a nonviolent mission to break "Israel’s" siege on Gaza.

Israeli forces have been accused of executing handcuffed Palestinian medics before burying them in a mass grave underneath their crushed ambulances in southern Gaza's Rafah.

Fifteen humanitarian workers went missing last week after responding to a distress call from civilians being attacked by Israeli forces.

The workers include eight paramedics from the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS), six members of the Palestinian Civil Defence search-and-rescue teams, and one UN staff member.

They were found over the weekend in a mass grave with at least around 20 multiple gunshots in each one of them, according to Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for the Palestinian Civil Defence in Gaza.

At least one of them had their legs bound, another was decapitated and a third topless, he added.

Israeli forces have killed 14 crew members, including 8 paramedics and 5 civil defense workers, in Gaza's Rafah neighborhood. The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) announced the retrieval of 8 bodies, while 3 PRCS first responders and 1 Civil Defense paramedic remain missing. The incident occurred during an Israeli assault and siege on the Tal al-Sultan neighborhood, which began eight days ago. The PRCS has called on the international community to pressure Israel to reveal the fate of the missing personnel and ensure the protection of medical teams.

A pro-Palestinian group [@xIsraelExposedx] has released a 350GB database exposing Israeli soldiers involved in operations in Gaza and the West Bank, using content from their own social media.

The data, submitted to the ICC and legal teams, may be used for war crimes investigations or targeted harassment. Some soldiers have received threats, prompting the IDF to urge deletion of online posts.

Israel’s PassportCard set up a $1M fund to aid reservists facing legal risks abroad.

Israeli Air Strike on Nasser Hospital in Gaza

An Israeli air strike on Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, killed at least five people and destroyed vital facilities. The attack, which targeted patients and medical staff, is part of a larger Israeli assault on Gaza that has killed hundreds since breaking a ceasefire on March 18. This is not the first time Israel has attacked the hospital, with a previous siege in February-April 2024 resulting in the deaths of over 300 people, including women, children, and medical workers. Rights groups have condemned the attacks as flagrant violations of international law.
