Bullwinkle - Hidden in September of 2003, currently unfound, one of the oldest (if not THE oldest) unfound caches in the world. Way up north in Canada, on the Great Bear Lake.

A GC reviewer disabled the cache today apparently because one person whined about it being a long trip. Waaaaaaaaaaaa then don't go!

Seems like the reviewer would give this cache some extra leeway due to it's age and status. Just because I (and probably you) don't have the means to fly up there right now and find it doesn't mean the cache doesn't have value, it gives people something to strive for, to dream about finding!

Was out with my family walking the dogs in our area when we stumbled across a cache that was hidden, but not posted onto the app. We look at city fairly regularly so we know that it is a new one that was recently put there, plus the log book wasn't signed yet. Would you sign it or no?

I was reviewing some logs on caches that I may want to find and I came across a recent one from someone who only has 167 finds. Please don't be this person. Put the cache back exactly as you found it and if you don't think it belongs there, then write that in your log. That's it. Don't take it upon yourself to place it in what you may think is a better spot. This is what this person wrote:

"Way too easy for a 2 difficulty. Moved cache just a little because there’s no way that was the intended spot. Still right on cords tho". Don't be this person. Ever.

There are these two geocachers in my area who always go caching together. No biggie, right? But recently, they've both been hiding a whole bunch of new caches, and they've always been each other's FTF on the new caches. The caching community in our town isn't super big, but i know at least 1 other person besides myself who does like being FTF on new caches. I am not super intense about being FTF, and I wouldn't be too upset if someone else were FTF, but this doesn't feel fair to me. Should I say something to them?

We have a large yard...+5 acres. We had a metal post out on a corner of our lot near a neighborhood intersection and, about a month ago, a metal rooster appeared on top of the post. My neighbors don't know anything about where it came from. One of my neighbors said that our neighborhood has, in the past, been a geocaching destination and we wondered if it had something to do with that.

I am not a geocacher and I know very little about it. If that is what it is, what would I be looking for? I haven't really investigated around it (it is not close to our house, but definitely on our property).

I've hidden a ton of geocaches, but they tend to be larges and a difficulty 1 or 1.5. I've tried my darndest to find some higher difficulty geocaches for inspiration recently and none of them have lived up to the hype. I've even found some 4 and 4.5s and they were a 2 at best. One of them was a magnetic key hide on a short section of decorative fence and it took me about 2 minutes to find. Listed as D4.

What makes a truly difficult geocache for you? Do they tend to be on and around buildings or out in the woods? I would rather hide them in nature, but I don't want them to only be difficult because they're a nano in the leaf litter. I want to hide regulars and smalls with higher difficulties. I've got two done and I'm not even sure they're 2.5s honestly. These are for a geocoin prize, so I want to make them tough! Anyone have any suggestions?

Original Title: An apology to the geocaching community, I'm sorry for taking the geocache, it was my first time and I didn't know better. I will be returning the geocache back to it's original spot later today, I'll even put some tiny toys in it so the next person who finds it can feel more lucky. Again I'm sorry.

I don't think I'll geocache ever again, to be honest. I feel bad now.
