Got into fixed riding this winter, challenged myself to ride 1000 miles this year on my 1988 schwinn Premis. Built a rear wheel with a flip flop hub, and I’ve been cruising ever since.

I signed up to do the half century (50k) as a challenge for me on my birthday, but once I was riding with the pack, I got caught up and did the whole 100k.

A bit sore in the sitbones and groin area, but overall feeling really good!

I was the only one riding single speed, let alone fixed! Got some props and shoutouts along the way though.

10/10, Will do again next year.

(Can’t figure out how to add a photo—always fails to upload for some reason)

Since I can finally upload photos, the first one should be dedicated to this fixie do-it-all! Every ride I fall in love more and more. Tracklo, ultras, gravel,... she does it all in the best and most comfortable way!

Or am I the last fixed gear rider out here?

This one's a bit of a beast — a fixed gear touring gravel bike (?)
Cinelli Tutto frame, bought online in size M (I'm 5'8/172cm), and it needed a seat post with setback, a saddle with long rails scooted all the way back, and all the spacers to make it fit.
I guess I'm tall for Italian standards.

Mounted the widest tires it would take, the lightest rack I could find, and the bare minimum in accessories to make it kinda street legal.
It's the silliest bike I ever built, and it makes me smile every single time I ride it.

Bought this bike a few weeks ago to go biking in the woods around my house and I love it.
