We live in a dystopia where a vast majority of email accounts are hosted by surveillance advertisers. You cannot simply create a Protonmail account when the other person uses Gmail.

To worsen matters, all the fedi c/privacy groups are ironically populated by those who come from Cloudflare nodes and do not have a good grasp of privacy.

This community is for:

• people who use onion-based email services
• people who refuse to correspond with gmail and MS Outlook users
• people looking for ways to reach those inside walled gardens in a non-compromising way
• people who refuse to use email in situations where their correspondent’s workflow would entail reckless disclosure
