These old radios are just wonderful. But with am/fm turned off in many parts of the world, they will probably go quiet forever soon.

I think, I want to try this out. If this "Thingino" can do an SMB or FTP server, I could replace my "security cameras" made from old cell phones with it.

I never thought of the bit with the sand paper on the blade. I wonder whether this really works as well.

Somehow, I have a heart for steampunk! It would be great if the taps had an actual function, like on/off and dimmer, but I guess that would add a whole n'other level of complexity to the project.

That's an interesting test. I never thought about heating up the finish. I wonder whether other finishes, like pure oils or pure varnishes, behave the same.
