Battlebots - for fans of robot combat

Saw this on their website ^ however for it to be considered 2025, and for filming to have commenced, it would have to be this month or the next for it to be within the first half of the year. I'm assuming BattleBots won't be filmed within this time however resulting in further delays and changes on their website?

Hey folks, I have some bad news. On May 8th, Alexander Richmond was in a fatal car crash. Alex was a kind and extremely skilled builder. He frequently attended NHRL with his robot Amphisbaena and his newest creation, Cherno Alpha. On top of being a skilled builder, he was a beacon of the community. From having started his own CAD commission service to always giving everyone around him kindness, respect, and advice to become better builders, he made a massive impact everywhere he went. EDIT: Thank you everyone for helping me figure this out. Turns out it wasn't a broken weapon, it was Shockwaves armour after Carbide tore it off. Thank you to SmashRobertson 😊

I am struggling to find a moment where one of the larger spinners bar broke and got embedded in the arena Lexan.

There is a chance it may have been in Robot Wars. Though I am sure it isn't the Apex match where the weapon sheared off and broke through the first layer of protection.

I am sure the weapon was blue but at this point I am questioning my memory 😂

As the title suggests I've been watching some parts of S7 in my free time and was always curious as to why Riperoni was given a very tough schedule. Two T16 robots from the prior season, one being a former champ, a two time T32 robot and a S5 T32 robot that won its bounty (but lost to the eventual boss). There were many other veterans like HiJinx, Malice, Shatter, Lucky ect. that got far softer competition over a brand new robot. Even comparing Riperoni to any other newbie robot's strength of schedule yields noticeable jumps in challenge. While the robot achieved a 3-1 record (and was the only new robot to make the T32 in S7) why was it that it was given such a nightmare schedule for a rookie?

Not to mention the one season it went undefeated in the fight night format it was then matched up against Tombstone as its first opponent in the round of 32.
