This is a personal collection of music I find around the internet.

The format will typically look like this: Artist - Song - [genre genre] / [in body] [Context/Commentary] Original post for more details

Alright, so here’s what to expect:

Due to the nature of this place, you may hear a bunch of stuff that you don’t care about, but you may also find your next favorite jam.

So, the gist is, this is a place where I’ll share music I find, and you’ll discover a world of sounds with me.

Check out the sister sub where you discover the internet with me! !theandrocollection@lemm.ee

My home instance is getting shut down at the end of this month. I've delayed saying anything, due to life complications, and not being sure if I want to keep this up at all.

I've landed at going to bluesky and sharing music there (where time permits). I know there is mastodon, but I really don't feel like setting up shop again if an instance shuts down.

My life has been the most complicated it's ever been starting the beginning of this year. I really needed something I enjoy (sharing music) to be simple and I went with the easiest option that's not twitter (x).

If you want to follow me there, you can head to this link: https://bsky.app/profile/piklradio.bsky.social

It doesn't have much posted there yet, as I've been thinking on whether I'd like to move to it fully and tested the waters.

I also have a YouTube channel that I created to share playlists of music. I don't have anything setup yet, but you can follow it here: https://youtube.com/@andromedusgalacticus. There won't be any original content here, so only follow if you're interested in playlists, and themed playlists in the future.

I'm truly sorry to anyone that doesn't agree with these moves.

I'm so greatful for everyone that stopped by to listen to music from here, and put up with all the changes in frequency. It's been a really fun experiment to do this kind of community, and hope that everyone continues to find interesting jams wherever they go!

This place will be host to songs I discover over time. I highly recommend blocking this place if we don't have the same taste. I have a very diverse palette, but some of the stuff I enjoy can be quite eclectic.

Most likely, the music will partially sway to electronic bedroom pop, or rock/metal, but no genre is off limits.

Come discover the sounds in the world! Songs also don't have to be unpopular to share, it'll just be what I'm feeling at the time.

The album is an anthology of different aspects of humanity and how they spent the last 24 hours of the apocalypse, all retold by the one thing that survived, a little robot boy. The robot boy is not blinded by any sort of bias, and every story is told in its truth and without empathy.

This is juxtaposed on the child like whimsical sound of the album. The album is not afraid to get serious, track 10, Chinese Slavery, is a prime example.

It's surprising how almost no info is available on the album and it doesn't even have a digital, or even CD release. It's relatively unknown for how interesting it is.
