At first I was like "I'm just gonna make this three or so colours" but then I was like "naw, screw it, if I am able to use all the colours I will use all the colours" hehe

Trying out freehanding instead of tracing or using a carbon copy paper.

I added some frames in the background with skies and clouds to lighten up the atmosphere a bit.

Concept sketch of his grown-up form! I've planned to remove the wings from his back and just replace the front flippers with wings to try and simplify his design a little more while still looking fluid. Goodie is not a bad guy, he's just a little mischievous... and has a bit of a penchant for swallowing any demons unfortunate enough to be able to fit into his 3-4 ft (0.9-1.2 m) long mouth whole. I drew his larval form way back in June and this drawing will be of his mature form! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Honestly love how weird and goofy he looks.

I tried using more dull colors because I used colors for the outline instead of black. The result is, curious I'd say. I don't like it that much but of the up side, in my opinion, it somehow got the looks of an old The Far Side comics. What do you think?

Found a really old dip pen with a fully functional nib (!) so I figured I'd try it out when inking my next aquarelle. A bit complicated but I like it! Works super well with both regular ink and aquarelle inks ๐Ÿ’–.
