Splatoon 3. The only shooters I like are unconventional and hyper-unrealistic. It is certainly that.

Currently playing: -Rocket League (after a controller Hiatus) -TFT -Dave the Diver
Started but lacking the will to boot up recently: -Diablo 4
Lately I've been liking less involved games as it allows me to watch videos while playing and talking to friends. Diablo 4 has been a bit of a point, as I love the old Diablo games and series but having trouble really getting into the live service version. It's a solid game but just feels different overall. Took me extra time to beat the main story because I just kept putting it down. Dave the diver is worth the money. Great game so far and works in small plays.
Skyrim together reborn with my friends it's been really fun actually. It does lag and have some really hilarious glitches but I like that I can play the original Skyrim with others it felt like it was missing that.
Let my PC gamepass lapse since getting a Steam Deck and the only game I really missed was Battletech. Picked it up in the Steam sale and finally started a new campaign today.
Never got more than a few hours in before but this is exactly what I want right now. It just feels so enormous and grand and does an excellent job of making me feel like a speck in the galaxy.
I've accidentally managed to get back into BDO, so I'm probably going to lose another few hundred hours on that.
The season servers tend to be fun, but I never know what to do after that.
Saaaaame. The moment I saw the event for the free T9 horse I knew I was suckered back in. Honestly after the season servers kinda wrap up, I move to afk life Skilling or trying to finish more of the giant quest list.
I'm thinking of getting started in BDO im a couple weeks. Any tips?
I'm really not a good person to ask, I've only ever played the season servers.
Having someone who already plays is useful though. Especially when you start getting into enhancing equipment, so they can explain what's going on.
Outside of hearing that theyve vastly improved the game, it still looked and felt like a "asian style MTX/MMO". But I hear the combat is great and new and returning players get a lot of free stuff.
I’m also playing Yakuza 0! At times I question if I’m even enjoying myself but then 10 minutes later inevitably there’s some awesome story bit that hooks me right back in. Also I legitimately laugh out loud during some sequences which is getting more and more rare as I get older. It’s a very good game ☺️.
Pillars of Eternity 2. I'm not all that far in, but I've been loving it so far. The characters and story feel really well crafted, and there's just a ton of variability in how you can construct your party and progress. Hopefully the quality continues throughout since the first POE felt like it ended abruptly.
I've started playing Elden Ring without really knowing what I was getting myself into..... It's been a experience to say the least. I don't think I've ever struggled with a game so much xD
Resi 4 remake, been pretty superb, looks amazing on ps5, plays great, makes me jump, just been a pleasure. I played TOTK + FF16 prior to this and it feels really good to play something more exciting and fast paced, TOTK was good but I didn't finish it and FF16 was a drag but I forced myself to finish it, looking forward to dead space remake after this.
I complain about how remake heavy we are but also they just seem to be the most mechanically tight games available atm.
Just finished planet of Lana. It was a nice very short game and felt more like an arthouse movie than a game. But sound design and art make this game great
Guilty Gear Strive, I'm surprised at how accessible it is, I'm already climbing ranks after only 6 hours. I remember bouncing off the previous game completely but it looks like they tried to do a soft-reboot to make the series less niche.
I'm not a fighting game fan myself, but I looooooove watching GGS.
It was the first time I was able to follow streamers as they began the game, worked at progressing, and slowly improved.
I remember completely ignoring it because I thought it would be as difficult as Xrd but it's all about the fundamentals + character gimmicks.
Was playing Homebody, I really want to like it but I suck at some of the puzzles and there is this retro game within that really started to piss me off.
I have just started dark souls III and I'm loving it. I have played ds1 and elden ring and was waiting for a sale for dsIII and just picked it.
I have made a Deprived because I like the extra challenge in these games
I am playing Sifu on my Steam Deck. It's a Kung-fu fighting game with linear story and levels, perfect for mindless half hour or so after work and life. So far the game has been great, with satisfying combat that I'm trying to master.
Exoprimal, very good game. They really should’ve marketed it better
I'm intrigued and don't know much about it. It's the Capcom one with a red hair female and Dinosaurs, right? (No, not Dino Crisis lol)
Yeah it’s basically like a 3rd person horde shooter with overwatch style combat (abilities with cooldowns, ultimates etc) but you’re racing another team to see who can complete all their objectives faster. Then there’s a final mission where you’ll do a PvP mode like 2payload or dominations where you can directly fight the enemy team. it’s a lot of fun and they’re adding a difficult end game PvE mode in a couple weeks as well
Until Baldur's Gate 3 comes out I tried some Solasta, but got so bored of the story that I reinstalled Neverwinter Nights and am playing through the first expansion.
Just started Humanity on Saturday and I've been having a blast!! I also played and streamed It Takes Two for the first time with my wife yesterday and have been enjoying it.
Finished up Marvel Midnight Subs recently (few weeks ago). Solid game over all. Would recommend when it's on sale.
Right now, Baldur's Gate 3 (EA). I normally wouldn't pick up an EA game, but I saw it had a set release date like a month ahead and really all I had was a (paid) demo. Figured with Steam, I have 2 hours to find out. I've played it daily 😆. I'll be honestly surprised if this doesn't get GotW. So long as it's a solid launch and the story doesn't drop in quality after Act 1, I really think it could win.
