Israel trying to pass the hospital bombing off as Palestine doing it is utterly disgusting and guarantees Netanyahu a spot in the deepest pit of Hell for all eternity, obviously, but do not forget that

a) the only reason why Westerners will believe it is because they want to believe it - they are not being brainwashed and this is not some masterful propaganda being weaved around us to turn kind-hearted people into monsters,

b) no Westerner opinions matter at all. In most Western countries there is no real anti-Israel option to vote for even if they did realize that Israel was a giant factory for crimes against humanity, and Westerners protesting against things in general almost never achieves anything (tens of millions protested for BLM in 2020 and not only did the situation not change, it got worse), and

c) the people whose opinions do matter (both the people in the region, and the leaders who aren't already Zionist compradors) already know that Israel is full of shit and that they just murdered nearly a thousand civilians in a single bomb attack.

It is despair-inducing to think that the genocidal Zionist entity is so brazenly, so smugly getting away with bullshitting this away into a cloud of confusion, as they release their metaphorical squid ink just like they did with the stupid babies story, but the propaganda and the media narrative that they are creating isn't what matters. It cannot address the fundamental contradictions ripping the country, the region, and the world apart any more than masterfully-applied makeup can fix a stab wound. It can merely obfuscate.

If you have evidence of Israeli crimes and atrocities that you wish to preserve, there is a thread here in which to do so.

Resources For Understanding The War

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.

Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.

Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.

On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Telegram Channels

Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

Pro-Russian

https://t.me/aleksandr_skif ~ DPR's former Defense Minister and Colonel in the DPR's forces. Russian language.

https://t.me/Slavyangrad ~ A few different pro-Russian people gather frequent content for this channel (~100 posts per day), some socialist, but all socially reactionary. If you can only tolerate using one Russian telegram channel, I would recommend this one.

https://t.me/s/levigodman ~ Does daily update posts.

https://t.me/patricklancasternewstoday ~ Patrick Lancaster's telegram channel.

https://t.me/gonzowarr ~ A big Russian commentator.

https://t.me/rybar ~ One of, if not the, biggest Russian telegram channels focussing on the war out there. Actually quite balanced, maybe even pessimistic about Russia. Produces interesting and useful maps.

https://t.me/epoddubny ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/boris_rozhin ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a 'propaganda tax', if you don't believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.

Pro-Ukraine

Almost every Western media outlet.

Channel 4 continues to do actual journalism

Although he’s inevitably a lib, their former main anchor Jon Snow did some good things in the past that annoyed the gammons

Edit: relevant bits as I can’t figure out Wikipedia deep linking:

In June 2017, it was reported that Snow had shouted "fuck the Tories" at Glastonbury. He was criticised for his views on air by a guest on Channel 4 News, Conservative minister Grant Shapps later refused to appear on the show, doubting its neutrality. Shapps stated: "I don’t think he [Jon Snow] can deal in an even handed manner in any interview with a Conservative MP. He has lost all credibility."

And

In March 2019, while reporting at a pro-Brexit protest, Snow said that he had "never seen so many white people in one place". Media regulator Ofcom received 2,644 complaints about Snow's comment

Incredible that there's a random Muslim extremist killing in Belgium in the midst of brazenly authoritarian crackdowns on free speech. The same country where the US Operation Gladio (allegedly) executed the Brabant murders with the nearly identical motive of trying to quash civil disobedience and instill fear in the population.

Zuckerberg is a vile fucker.

Facebook and Instagram users say their pro-Palestinian posts have been suppressed.

Meta, which owns Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, said last week that it would enact temporary measures to push down extreme or graphic imagery coming out of Israel and Gaza. In doing so, thousands of Palestinian supporters now say that their posts have been suppressed or removed from Facebook and Instagram, even if the messages do not break the company’s rules.

In particular, messages of support for Palestinian civilians, many of whom have been displaced, injured or killed by Israeli airstrikes, are being removed from the platforms, users said. Some people have also reported that Facebook suppressed accounts that called for peaceful protests in cities around the United States, including planned sit-ins in the San Francisco Bay Area over the weekend.

Syrian media reports Israeli airstrikes hit airports in Damascus and Aleppo

Syrian state media reported that Israeli airstrikes early Sunday targeted the international airports of the Syrian capital Damascus and the northern city of Aleppo, killing one person. The runways were damaged and put out of service.

The attack is the second this month on the Damascus International airport and the third on Aleppo’s airport as tensions increase in the Middle East over the Israel-Hamas war.

Syrian state media quoted an unnamed military official as saying the airports were struck by the Israeli military from the Mediterranean to the west and from Syria’s Israeli-occupied Golan Heights in the south. It said one employee was killed and another wounded in Damascus in addition to material damage.

The Israeli military had no immediate comment.

Since the war between Israel and Hamas started on Oct. 7, Israel has carried out several strikes in Syria including one on the Damascus airport and two on Aleppo’s airport putting them out of service.

Flights were directed in the past to an international airport in the coastal province of Latakia.

Israel has targeted airports and sea ports in the government-held parts of Syria in an apparent attempt to prevent arms shipments from Iran to militant groups backed by Tehran, including Lebanon’s Hezbollah.

Thousands of Iran-backed fighters from around the region joined Syria’s 12-year conflict helping tip the balance in favor of President Bashar Assad’s forces.

Israel has carried out hundreds of strikes on targets inside government-controlled parts of Syria in recent years, including attacks on the Damascus and Aleppo airports, but rarely acknowledges or discusses the operations.

I wonder when the first major international-community-1international-community-2 state will jump ship. The unwavering Israel support is a PR disaster.

My local newspaper has been completely uncritical of Israel so far, but even they can't bring themselves to say that it was Hamas who bombed the hospital, they just say "both sides are blaming each other". They're trying to pull some kind of "Islamic terrorism is back" narrative to fuel the anti-Hamas train, but it's not really sticking.

To most uninformed people, the optics were that Hamas pulled a mean sucker punch and Israel was fighting back, but now they just see Israel hitting Palestine over and over and over and over and over and over. Joe Brandon's reaction of "Okay guys, enough now, let's not go too far" encapsulates that pretty well. There aren't many more solid-sounding defense narratives anymore for Israel, I see a lot of "Well the numbers of dead Palestinians are from the health ministry which is controlled by Hamas", I saw some "A ceasefire would mean the normalization of antisemitic violence" and the obligatory "A lot of Palestinian civilians were killed by Hamas, actually". All of these are really, really bad defenses, I can't stress enough how much weaker these are than any pro-Ukraine narratives. It doesn't help that Israel is doing dumb shit like beefing with Gigi Hadid on Instagram and making an absolute mockery of themselves.

The longer this goes on, the more time passes since the attack on Israel, the steeper the uphill battle becomes that the propaganda has to fight and they're already losing.

Signs it's an airstrike: size of the explosion, A/V evidence corresponding with JDAM strike signature, Israel saying that hospitals were fair game, previous israeli attacks on this building, almost all governments blaming Israel

Signs it was a Hamas rocket: Israel says so

How has the media of settler-colonial societies been covering occupation and resistance? I know that the native American genocides were covered mostly as "brutal savages slaughtering le innocent civilian white settlers who just wants to bring civilisation to the blighted wasteland". How did media sympathetic to Rhodesia, apartheid South Africa or even Nazi Germany (although they never really got to the settler phase before having their assess kicked) talk about resistance?

Rybar saying that lot of the attacks/strikes happening in Iraq and Syria are just for show:

While the global community speculates about when the IDF ground operation in Gaza Strip will begin, in Iraq and Syria, the parties involved in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict are busy creating the illusion of an ongoing struggle between them.

This morning, the Israeli Air Force once again targeted the airports in Damascus and Aleppo in Syria, which they had previously attacked last week. The bombings damaged the newly reconstructed runways, resulting in flight delays and cancellations.

Essentially, these airstrikes are similar to the shelling of American bases by pro-Iranian groups: while some attempt to demonstrate their unwavering commitment to the war against the "Zionist occupiers," the latter are determined to confront the "Axis of Resistance" on distant battlefields.

What these attacks have in common is that they do not cause significant damage. The strikes on Syrian airports are unlikely to seriously disrupt the logistics of Iran or Hezbollah, especially considering the amount of cargo that regularly passes through the Al Bukamal border crossing on the Iraqi border.

Despite the loud slogans and mutual threats, neither side has escalated the situation thus far, limiting themselves to mere displays of action. This arrangement proves to be quite convenient: it allows for the selling of a dramatic image of all-out war with the enemy to the public, without actually engaging in it.

i've seen zionists claim that if Israel didn't have the Iron Dome, similar things will happen there. 'Israel' is bankrolled by a superpower while Gaza is under near complete control of 'Israel'. Most Hamas rockets which get through the Iron Dome barely cause any damage to the buildings.

Settlers will spend years blowing the limbs off of peaceful protesters with sniper rifles and turning apartments full of children into rubble while the world ignores it. When there's retaliation, the whole world starts crying about how terrorism (us-foreign-policy) is wrong and bad and counterproductive and how this isn't the way for Palestinians to be heard (liberalism) and if they were just PEACEFUL (implication that Arabs are not capable of peace without the guiding cracker hand) then people would listen.

Well, if terrorism isn't effective, why are so many illegal settlers running scared back to amerikkka? Why are results being achieved now that were never even a remote possibility with peaceful protests? Perhaps if they don't want to be opposed violently, settlers shouldn't violently suppress their victims until every option but terrorism has been eliminated.

The worst argument is the "look at all the Palestinians dying (who would otherwise be fine) because of Hamas" argument. You have to lack the capacity for object permanence to believe this, or have never even heard of the state of Israel before. Either way, shut the fuck up.

Top story right now on CNN’s website is about how they have done a big “CNN Investigates” on the Gaza hospital. And of course, their in-depth, independent analysis shows that the explosion was due to a rocket from Gaza. Afaik their “in-depth analysis” just consists of talking to former US military officers and RAND Corp freaks.

I haven’t really been following this stuff all that closely, so I don’t know how to debunk what they’re saying but FYI western media is doubling down on it NOT being the Israelis after Al-Jazeera explained how it was them.

Edit: again, I’m not really good on all this OSINT stuff but it seems like their “analysis” is just regurgitating stuff we heard like 3 days ago. Smol crater, that doesn’t sound like a JDAM, etc. Early in the article they seem to say it was a rocket that blew up mid flight and the debris lit cars on fire (ok….). Then they talk about that scorch pattern or whatever that CLEARLY shows it came from the northeast. Except they say “well a rocket from the SW would have burned up the ground on approach, causing that pattern, or something falling wouldn’t have left anything like that”… completely contradicting their falling schrapnel theory.

Hezbollah says it has attacked Israeli border posts

Lebanon’s militant Hezbollah group says its fighters have targeted five Israeli posts along the border in the country’s south. Hezbollah said in a terse statement that various types of “direct weapons” were used in the late Monday afternoon attack. Hezbollah fighters have been destroying surveillance cameras placed on Israeli posts along the border amid heightening tensions.

The yuan has overtaken the euro in international payments, according to SWIFT data.

Europe's economic role in the world continues to decline. Actually, this is one of the goals of the war launched by the United States. Eliminate Europe's chances of economic competition with the United States and increase the political, military and economic enslavement of Europe. At the same time, the European establishment is well aware of the detrimental nature of the current course for the European economy, but is forced to submit to Washington’s policies, even to the detriment of its own economy. A clear example of what the lack of military-political subjectivity leads to.

Israel says: "Gazans, go south to avoid the fighting!" Then Israel starts to shell the south and unfortunately there are civilian causalities. Funny how that works.

In this war is this Israel's first strike on southern Gaza causing deaths? Fuel trucks have just started going North from Egypt into Gaza.

At least 5 killed and 15 injured in Israeli airstrike in Rafah, Palestinian interior ministry says

At least five people were killed and 15 others were injured in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a multi-story house in Rafah in the southern Gaza strip, the Palestinian interior ministry said Monday.

The ministry said the airstrike happened without prior warning from the Israel Defense Forces.

The IDF has not issued any comments about the strike.

Protests reported near NATO base in Turkey’s Malatya We are getting reports of angry protesters massing near a NATO facility in Turkey’s Malatya province, where US servicemen are believed to be also stationed.

Al Jazeera Arabic is reporting that the demonstrators gathered outside Kurecik Radar Station to denounce the deadly air strike on a hospital in Gaza, which Palestinian authorities blame on Israel.

A video clip posted by Al Jazeera Arabic on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, showed demonstrators waving Palestinian flags and shouting pro-Palestinian slogans, as Turkish police stood behind guardrails to protect the NATO facility.

Couple of things on the whole "It wasn't Israel who bombed the hospital" thing. The evidence they provided is flawed, like there's people pointing out that the phone comms between the "Hamas operatives" sounds very weird at best, first because the accent is kinda forced (That is according to arab speakers, and I am not one) and second because it violates every protocol Hamas has, especially considering their comms aren't usually heard by the IDF (because they don't use phones) yet, curiously, they did for this very specific case.

Also the whole rocket misfire thing, like we see in one video that a rocket explodes in mid-air, and seconds after an explosion goes off in the ground. How the fuck did it happen? Does it even have enough time explode, fall into the earth and miraculously into a yard filled with people? Like it happens almost instantly, rocket explodes in mid air and mere moments later a huge explosion below.
