A member of my family is not only a veteran, but also fell into this lunacy and thinks his work as a logistics officer and his NG training puts him on the level of the Navy SEALs. And he's almost 60. He salivates at the idea of fighting the mythical military oppression from the evil Demoncrats trying to take away his guns.

I don’t think anyone really “won” the civil war. We’re still feeling its effects to this day.

Going to try to give a different perspective here, bear with me. I'm neither left nor right as they are both taking sides of the corral I wouldn't be in. They are however both taking this very seriously, so I'm thinking cartoon memes of Civil War might be make a person, mmm, callous towards it? Civil War conditions don't allow much hanging out on the Internet at home right? Maybe the meme sell is you will be able to do that?
There are surely many deadly people on all sides out there especially if your skills in are in computers and memes. I would think that is the last thing either side would really want!
Reality check for those perception manipulating about the South, um, that is where the majority of US Special Forces are born, those people grow up with guns.
