I don't have any accounts in reddit anymore. I only browse reddit maybe for 5 mins a day now. I could block reddit without barely noticing at this time

Now I just wish Lemmy can come up in my Google search when I search for reviews. Right now that is still Reddit's territory and no Lemmy at all. Lemmy should really improve it's SEO to not only makes using it with search engines easier, it can also help new users discover this platform.
redwhat ?
Yes. The Reddit BS was too much for me, and lemmy has been great.
Besides the obvious difference in users, I'm finding it remarkably similar to Reddit. Time will tell if it catches on in popularity.
Yesterday I have as first step deleted all my reddit posts and comments. Still keep my account for possible GDPR request later.
This is my first acc on lemmy, so yes, I do want to move to... Lemmy
I'm using Reddit about 60% less than before.
Who's Lenny. Kidding. Yes, I replaced Reddit at the beginning of June, when that little fucktard, u/spez, confirmed that he's not bending on the policy. Slowly nuked my account over the course of that month. ~~Lenny~~ Lemmy (friggin autocorrect hahaha what irony) is my new best friend.
Yes. Mostly because I got permabanned from Reddit about a year ago for making offensive jokes and trying to appeal a sub ban by using an alt account. Given what's happening now on Reddit, it seems I didn't lose much.
However, the fact that this site clearly states on its rules that it's not a free speech space means that it will never ever be as good as Reddit on its early years.
Yes, not sticking around while it slowly becomes a worse and worse user experience
Haven't even opened reddit from google results since the protest started. I've also been removing subreddits from my RSS reader
I'm trying to, but I miss NSFW content here
LENNY!!!
Yup, even if Lemmy lacks in content it's general plus in my book, no mindless scrolling, have time to touch the grass etc
Didn't delete my account or anything, but fuck them
Already did replace it with Lemmy several months ago.
Basically! I still haven't found equivalents for everything I was following on Reddit since my account there is 13 years old, but I have found more than I expected. Just since late June when I started lurking here it seems to have grown significantly. I suspect there's a higher proportion of longtime Redditors who have left recently since we've seen it abandon the principles it was founded on.
I was ready to leave Reddit last week, when my third party app stop working... but it doesn't stop and now, everytime i open Joey for Reddit i kinda wish it don't work anymore, cause i think why should i leave, if it works?
I never used Reddit before this, I didnβt really like the idea of using Reddit. But now I can use Reddit without actually using Reddit.
Yes, I am and I have. I have up my reddit account a month ago.
Yes. I haven't gone back to reddit in a few weeks now.
I have a small userscript/style tweak to remove all input fields from reddit, so I'm still allowing myself to browse reddit in read-only mode on desktop, with no mobile access.
It's a gentle way to wean myself off. I'm still waiting for my GDPR data dump anyway, so I need to check reddit fairly regularly to be able to grab it when/if it arrives.
I uninstalled Reddit when Infinity died
Maybe one day, maybe it's using Connect but it seems like no matter what filter I use I keep seeing the same posts (and the majority of it about reddit) so I've definitely added it into my rotation, but doesn't quite feel like it's enough yet.
As long as my synch for reddit version works I dont see myself leaving reddit.
Yes
Yes.
Yes.
Yes. I am pissed at Reddit with the whole API shitstorm and because of this I found out about the Fediverse, went down the whole Lemmy/Mastodon/Pixelfed rabbit hole and couldn't be happier.
Not yet. Sadly the small communityβs that had me hooked on Reddit in the first place have yet to make it here (HFY my beloved). I also find the current mobile clients a bit jank (in comparison to Apollo) but I hope that situation will get better with time. Anyhow fuq the 1st party Reddit client, I ain't touching that shit. Apollo till it breaks!
I don't really use Reddit any more.
All of my casual browsing is done now exclusively on Lemmy. If I look for an answer or an opinion thatβs when I dip into Reddit.
Reddit --> Lemmy 4 me 2
Yes.
Yep, easiest choice ever and the tech behind Lemmy and activity pub is so cool
