Found a copy of Stray hiding on an external hard drive so I've been working through that. I love hanging out with my new robot friends!

Dystopian cat simulator is best simulator.

I love this game. Glad you're having fun with it!

[–] HidingCat@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

That's next on the list for me, I think! How bad were the stealth sections (I hate steatlh)?

Adored that game. Really nailed an aesthetic and feeling I love, and playing as a cat was a pretty novel way of making the gameplay feel distinct.

Plus, so much personality in each robot!

[–] milkytoast@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago

that's such a good game

Splatoon and TOTK are gonna be my weekend I think.

[–] numbscroll@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I’m back into Splatoon again after a while away on TOTK. Two great games.

[–] Andjhostet@kbin.social 2 points 2 years ago (2 children)

When TOTK came out I was scared I wasn't going to come back Splatoon. They definitely serve different experiences and I love them both. Probably my two favorite on the Switch.

[–] numbscroll@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago

@andjhostet have you found engaging TOTK communities? Looking for something… love seeing the amazing things people build that I could never dream of

[–] numbscroll@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago

Similar experience… glad for the break honestly, it’s made me appreciate both games more

[–] Calcharger@kbin.social 6 points 2 years ago

League of Legends, Diablo 4, I'm reinstalling Silent Hunter 3 cuz I wanna sink some battleships. Command Modern Operations. One of these days I'm gonna start making Youtube Tutorials on how to play that monster of a game.

Finally worked up the courage to play Persona 5 Royale again... having an absolute blast.

[–] wallybeavis@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

The Planet Crafter, they just put out their latest update. They've added additional blueprints and another way to get the blueprints

[–] newtraditionalists@beehaw.org 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Street Fighter 6 has become a bit of an obsession.

[–] ampersandrew@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago (3 children)

Same. How's your grind going? I just broke through a threshold last night and hit plat 4.

[–] newtraditionalists@beehaw.org 1 points 2 years ago

You're much better than me lol. Currently stuck in silver 5 with my main, lily. I'll get it eventually. I hope. Good luck breaking into diamond!

Diablo 4, Spider-Man: Remastered, and possibly Forza Horizon 5. PC for all.

[–] dave_baksh@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

Hunt, Overwatch, Zelda, Diablo 4!

[–] lowdownfool@kbin.social 2 points 2 years ago

Trying some older games I have in my library. The Long Dark and Caves of Qud. I'm a glutton for permadeath punishment it seems.

[–] Kichae@kbin.social 2 points 2 years ago

I'm GMing Pathfinder 2E for the 2nd time tonight. Way in over my head. Thankfully, my party isn't experienced enough to know!

[–] screwballll@kbin.social 2 points 2 years ago

Started playing with Stellaris again.
I really enjoy the game but man it’s complicated.

[–] germanatlas@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 2 years ago

Arknights and maybe a round of PlateUp. I got exams coming, so I’m comparatively mild currently

[–] Montagge@kbin.social 2 points 2 years ago

Seikro and AEW Fight Forever. Maybe Eldenring since I grabbed that on the steam summer sale.

[–] FrostBolt@kbin.social 2 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

Battlebit Remastered

Diablo 4

And, while it's not a video game, reading the Pathfinder 2e core rulebook

[–] Ignacio@kbin.social 2 points 2 years ago

Dungeon Keeper (via KeeperFX), and a bit of War for the Overworld.

[–] Limewirelord@kbin.social 2 points 2 years ago

Cult of the Lamb has been fun and also hilarious. Great little resource management + dungeon crawler roguelike and also adorably weird.

[–] punkskunk@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 years ago

Happy to see you mention Hunt: Showdown. That game recently broke a new record for most concurrent players, and the current wildcard “event” with the new boss and varying rain is fantastic.

[–] MelenHirren@kbin.social 2 points 2 years ago

For me, it‘s Animal Crossing New Horizons, Road 96: Mile 0 and SongPop Party on Nintendo Switch and probably The Last Of Us 2 on PlayStation.

[–] GeekFTW@kbin.social 2 points 2 years ago

MTG Arena (trying to get these damn lands in the lotr event), and then probably choice paralysis between a dozen and a half games.

Then probably just play some Dwarf Fortress lol

[–] Kauhuhu@beehaw.org 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Totk, im on my 100% run and there are a lot of armors to upgrade and koroks!

[–] TheBeev@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago

That’s one hell of a challenge. Good luck!

[–] Wodge@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

Destiny 2, Assetto Corsa Competitzione and probably some Vampire Survivors.

I'm finishing up Chicory: A Colorful Tale after I stumbled upon Wandersong earlier this year. It's basically a playable coloring book occasionally interrupted by ruminations on art, legacy, and self-worth. So that's fun. But seriously it's a great game to just throw on after a long day and just color in a few screens. For something completely different I'm also working through the COD: Cold War campaign since that dropped on PS Plus.

[–] Squid777@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago

Started Ys 6 yesterday and finally getting around to doing a full playthrough of Ninpen Manmaru

[–] joshch@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago
[–] DarkGamer@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago

Elden Ring and Fallout 76

[–] Broadsword@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago

Diablo 4. I read somewhere that getting to 100 gets very tough past 80. Well I'm not even 50 yet, so I got some hours to put in.

[–] Errant@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago

Hopefully finishing Final Fantasy XVI. Mixing in some TOTK too, fell off that one a bit because I degen'd my way to 100 in Diablo 4. Getting back into it has been really fun.

[–] radialmonster@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

Ive gotten back into dwarf fortress now that it has multithreading it runs a lot better now

[–] ampersandrew@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago

I've definitely been grinding Street Fighter 6 a ton, and it's been great. After nearly only playing that game for a month, I also went back to shake the rust off of Skullgirls, and I'll have to do the game for Guilty Gear Strive soon too.

Other than that, the hype cycle got me for Baldur's Gate 3, so I picked up the first two games, and I'm a handful of hours into the first game. I'm sure you don't strictly need to play those first two games to get into the second one, but it's a compulsion of mine to play the earlier games in a series before playing the latest.

[–] TheBeev@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago

TotK on the plane on my way home from vacation. Then Halo Infinite once I’m home. Really enjoying the new Season 4 content.

[–] rem26_art@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago

Just got into Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and I'm loving it so far, so that's my weekend plan

[–] Triprotic@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I finally broke down and got a PS5 to play FF16, put about 5 hours in so far and enjoying it.

Will have to check out some other PS exclusive games in the near future too (if anyone has any recommendations apart from God of War, feel free to suggest!)

[–] subq@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago

Depends on what type of games you like but…Death Stranding DC was a bit different and really good (IMO). If you liked FF16 and you haven’t played DMC 5SE that’s good as well. FF7R is good. Pretty much all the PS5 Yakuza games are fun(ny). Ghost of Tsushima was excellent.

Squad and Batman Arkham Knight, since I never played it and it was under £6.

[–] Jarmer@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago

for me it's a rotation of Diablo 4 on desktop and Dave the Diver on the Deck. Absolutely loving both! I'm starting to get a little weary of the d4 grind, but not enough to quit. Yet ....
