This Classic pre-dates the Pro, it's from 2014. And i think so was that gasket.

So what exactly do you have? Your post doesn’t state but the footprint looks like my classic pro.

It's a Gaggia Classic RI8161, but it's basically identical to the modern GCP. It's from before the cost-cutting modifications to the Classic that necessitated the release of the Pro.

I have a 49 year old truck that was abused for much of its life and none of the gaskets or seals were this bad to replace either.

That took longer than expected, but at least I got a good seal at the end of it. So that should be good for another decade or so. LOL.

Was this gasket rubber at some point? Because it appears to have fossilized.
