I'm split about this. I usually go to this restaurant (nothing fancy, basically a diner) to do school work when I know I will fall asleep if I stay home.
The place is huge, I always take up a table for two in a corner out of the way, I order dinner with no drink and just chill there with my textbooks. Two of the waiters are lovely and always greet me warmly, so I make sure to tip well. But there is a waitress that is very frosty and always approaches asking if I will order anything else, so I always wonder if I'm overstaying.
Note, the place is huge and it's never even near crowded or at full capacity when I'm there.
