Okay so I’m obviously not from the US, however I have just returned from a trip to Jamaica where there was a lot of Americans. In the UK where I live, we tip at the end if we receive a good service, however when on holiday I noticed some bar staff who were rather miserable, and the Americans were tipping before they even ordered drinks. Is this normal for Americans? Why do you guys do it?
