There's a few communities I still check in on occasionally, which haven't moved to Lemmy yet, but I've mostly shifted to Lemmy. Hopefully Lemmy grows, & more of those old places move here. I'll keep using & supporting this platform, in the meantime.
Me
Definitely me ...I mean it sucks now...but I mostly quit after aita_mods_are_all_incels as a username got me super duper banned....but they are definitely useless fucks
I actually caved in and remade a reddit acccount, yeah i feel dirty about it but i really mised the most niche comunities, specially the monster hunter one since the one thats here is more inactive than active. Though interactions are pretty terrible since the first coments i posted got downvoted and now im on negative karma and anytime i try to comment after that i get ignored. I think that account was shadowbanned so ill probably delete it and make a new one, but is not that important since i like to lurk more than interact with reddit since the discourse there is becoming more 4chany but without the with and censored af.
I will also mention that i made second one strictly for nsfw browsing on reddit, since the nsfw comunities on lemmi are surprisingly prudish on certain fetishes. Now im not into the most extreme shit but i really dont like that they dont allow certain stuff thats perfectly legal on the normal nsfw instances, like CNC is just a form of roleplay, why is it banned? But trans and femboy shit isnt with their whole penis chastity cages, they have plentyfull suply of that. Im not into neither of those fetishes and i dont kinkshame the lgbtq shit, but the only option to see shit thats not allowed (like cnc) would be to go to the extreme nsfw instances that thend to host legaly dubius shit like straight up real rapes and other stuff of the same variety that i rather not mention, and nobody whants to see that nor be exposed to it, so i rather go to reddit for porn, at least they dont kinkshame and i wouldnt be in danger of being put on a watch list.
I did. No apps on my phone anymore, and any time I have to visit the site I block Google from automatically signing me in. So I've used the site but not as an active user.
Still waiting for good search engine discoverability for Lemmy. Seems like Reddit is set up for that but not Lemmy. If that would work, I'd dropped Reddit altogether and start prioritizing Lemmy.
I left before apollo died so i had time to properly ween myself to a new platform and see what i like. Sure i still have the reddit app but it’s not signed in and only there so the website doesnt pester me to login when i just wanted a question answered
I did a few months back.
Reddit is PC only using the old site. But I've been using it much less now despite most of my usage was on PC already. I much prefer Lemmy on my PC and Summit on mobile now.
I check in on reddit every once in a while via the app called Comet. It's definitely gone back to it's usual self but it feels more impersonal than ever now that I use Lemmy too.
I'm gonna say it's at least three
I still use it via the limited 3rd party apps that are still available, but my usage has dropped by 90%.
Lemmy is mostly fine for news sharing and commenting, but my more niche subs aren't really built out enough here yet. I'm relatively hopeful that Lemmy will continue to grow, and the non-meme communities will grow with it.
JFC the meme communities are everywhere here. I block all that I find. Maybe that's how Reddit is now as well, but my subs had been curated and fine toned over a decade so I didn't see the content I wasn't interested in.
Me. I never directly browse to it. If I end up on a reddit post from a google search on desktop, meh, I'll click the link. No chance in hell on mobile.
I have not fully dropped lemmy but I still use it to check out the latest (tech and tech related) news. Lemmy is good at that aspect these days.
Not 100% but like 95. Still go to Reddit for a couple niche subs
I’m out of there for good, but I take a look every once in awhile. That place still looks like it’s thriving. It’s unfortunate.
I did at first but I'm using Reddit again alongside this because Lemmy is kind of depressing/exhausting, and also doesn't have a lot of the content I want. Namely firearms and motorcycle stuff, along with lots of food related subs.
Both. I use the connect app to browse lemmy while on my phone and when I'm on my computer I go on Reddit with ad blocker.
Yo
I check both Reddit and Kbin, have both of them open in pinned tabs.
But I spend a whole lot less time on Reddit than I used to.
And it's not like I now spend the less time I spend there on Kbin either, I'm just mostly beyond browsing it obsessively and do other crap instead.
Same with Twitter.
After I quit Twitter and moved to Mastodon, I do read my feed once or so a day, but compared to a year ago, I barely participate anymore.
My app worked as I was mod of my own sub. Few weeks ago that stopped working, and I haven't opened reddit since
