I struggle with my emotions at times but I've never been a morning person literally since I was a newborn, all throughout school as a child, being in college, and now working after graduation. I just suck at keeping a regular sleep schedule and usually end up taking naps in the afternoon when I have to be up early or I just sleep in super late (like 1 pm to 3 pm).

I can still function as a mentally stable person (by that I just mean I have the wherewithal to do self care like shower, cook for myself, clean up around my home, socialize, etc) but I'm just in a much better mood in the evenings and nights vs the mornings.

I've seen some things that got me wondering why this is a specific habit of people who have mental health problems and/or depression. I understand over sleeping but why the sleeping during the day?
