I believe it's because, at school, the students have to ask for permission to drink water and go to the bathroom when they need to leave the classroom. I'm worried that they could be being too pressured into following those rules and it could affect some other parts of his routine. It's, in my opinion, a bit too overly formal and obedient. I explained to him that he doesn't need to ask permission for things like that in his own house, but, as if it was a habit, he has done it at least 3 times. Am I parenting wrong or am I rightfully worried?

FYI, he is 6 in 3rd grade.
