There are literal memes about this. This doesn’t happen to me on any other social media platform. I’ll make what I think is an innocent post and people are just so unbelievably angry in the comments. Just responding to someone who disagree with you gets you downvoted. I see it happen to people who make nice posts all the time.

I had someone tell me I was wrong about my undertone in a makeup subreddit, even though the mods were the ones who typed me💀 Also posted asking for advice in the PTSD sub and someone told me off for not knowing the answer. A guy got aggressively downvoted for disagreeing with me in another sub, even though I marked the post as * discussion. *

I get that there are angry and pretentious people on the internet, but why do most of them seem to be on Reddit?! I genuinely don’t understand. I also feel really bad for people who get ripped apart and are clearly not mentally in a good space.
