There are a number of these old soviet military uniform coats for sale online for decent prices esp. for a sheepskin coat. I found one in my size but I am debating if it is just too silly. I am tired of being cold.
I wear a decent number of leather coats and great coats but nothing that is this much of a statement. I have no fantasies about being in the Red Army or whatever but it would be kind of neat to have the historical connection.

The only people who would be able to tell that this is a Soviet coat are people who would think it is cool. Other people would just see a nice warm coat.

Ofc there are many situations in which wearing something like a hammer and sickle hat (this isn't even close to that in overtness though) will undermine your political effectiveness lol, but I'm tired of the policing of people's interests and I'm especially tired of the cop-wolf inside me that I continually struggle with from doing years and years of masking who keeps telling me I'm cringe for liking things

i doubt your standard commoner (even i was not aware of historical ties) on the street will be aware of the ties to the ussr, purchase it if it makes you happy and you can do so comfortably. i would have assume you thrifted it
