Final Fantasy XVI, I'm 70% in, and I'm having a real good time.

  • The story is interesting and keeps you going, not convoluted or opaque like in 13 or 15.

  • The sidequests are very boring at first, and still mostly fetch quests / fight certain enemies, but they eventually reward you with background story of the side characters, and some of them are pretty good.

  • The combat keeps throwing you new stuff with a good pace.

Just finished Metro Exodus. I think I’m going to dive into Assassins Creed Origins next.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

How did you feel about it? I'm usually patient in slower games like Metro and I really enjoyed Last Light, but Exodus has been sitting installed on my machine for almost a year now and I've only just started the first level after getting on the train.

Minecraft. New patch is out, so I recently started playing with a couple of friends.

Hardspace:Shipbreaker, ETS2 and some fs 22

I'm playing Overboard, it's basically a "How to get away with murder" game. It's very fun !

Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion. Just finished it last night. Was hilarious and short. Definitely get on sale though, it's less than 3 hours to 100%.

In trying to finish Tales of Legendia for the PS2. I'm currently at the character Quest for Norma. Really liking this game despite it's age, very funny game, brilliant music and interesting characters.

Just started playing Mars First Logistics.

I'm still somewhat enjoying Diablo 4. I finished the story last week and got into the endgame now, but I'm mostly focusing on completing all the areas to 100% bit by bit.

Other than that I'm still playing Genshin Impact every day for a bit to do my dailies and stuff.

I also still have some demos I want to play. Namely Everspace 2, SlavicPunk and Eternights.

Zelda Minish cap, super mario bros, and some pokemon Gold. just been feeling the childhood games lately

Death Stranding. Bought it a while back, but wasn't in the mood for a more contemplative/atmospheric game then. Now seems to be a good time to appreciate running errands!

I've been playing through Control, which has been pretty fun, but... I just came out of TotK and every other game so far feels a bit... shallower. I don't know how to explain it. I've also been taking breaks into Infinifactory again to finally finish it. Been a while since I've felt the itch for Zachtronics, and it feels good. The mechanical intricacy overshadows that hollow feeling.

What should I play next if TotK has set my bar so high? Will it just fade in time?

Dead by daylight is having it's anniversary event so largely that, mixed in with BattleBots and some diablo 4

I have had a bit of a hiatus from games due to my being unable to get into it. Games I have liked in the past were Spider-man, Ghost of Tsushima, the Yakuza series, Last judgment series and Life is Strange. Haven't been able to get sucked in a game lately. Was trying to get into Dishonored but it was usually me trying to sneak around and then getting caught and killing everyone/running away. Then I felt bad looking at all the rats and the zombie-like people. Started outer wilds and it is a nice change of pace. And Stardew Valley has been good too. On and off for these two games but I could see myself playing them more

Lately, I've been obsessed with Into The Breach, a mecha vs kaiju strategy game bythe developers of FTL. It's surprisingly challenging, and more similar to chess than any other strategy computer game I've played before.

Diablo 4 is my bread and butter right now... with a side of Dredge on my Switch.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Conan Exiles. I've had it in my library for ages but never gave it much thought. I'm having a lot of fun building my fortress and converting the locals to be my thralls.

I finally upgraded my graphics card to a 4070 Ti, despite the ridiculous pricing (been waiting for over 3 years to upgrade and I've using a GTX 1050 on a 1440p monitor this entire time). Now I'm working through a considerable backlog of GPU-intensive games that I was unable run well or even at all.

Started with God of War and I'm loving it! Next up is Read Dead Redemption 2.

Nice! congrats. I recent.ly got a 4080 and got my GF a 4070 for her birthday

Before that I had a GTX 580 1.5gb haha

Ghostrunner. I had a go at it some time ago, but it didn't really hold my attention. This time it's grabbed me. Super fast-paced and fun action, with an okay story (I'm not finished the story, but so far it feels fairly generic and that it'd building to a pretty obvious reveal) that I'm enjoying. If anyone is a fan of Mirror's Edge, I recommend this game; it's scratching the same itches for me, at least.

I just finished the main story for Bioshock Infinite. What a mind fuck. I'm still tripping over the reveal. I'm gonna be vague here because I don't want to give spoilers. And it seems there are no spoiler tags on lemmy yet.

I can't believe how many hints they gave me that I completely missed. They essentially tell you a couple of times, and I still missed it somehow. I almost want to go back and play it again to see how many hints I missed. I can think of a few off the top of my head, but I'm sure there are more.

Anyway, I'm playing the DLCs now. I enjoyed the first one, but the second one is seeming a bit painful. I really don't like stealth games.

Factorio and art of rally

Started playing Fear and Hunger yesterday. I was mostly confused at first to be honest, but it's a pretty decent survival horror game. It took a bit to realize that fighting enemies is probably the least preferred option. I haven't made a lot of headway but I'm getting there. It's not really as nightmarish as people keep making it out to be, from what I've seen so far, but it does make me pretty uneasy at times.

Trying to play tears of the kingdom however the button location for sprint and jump are really holding me back. I don’t remember struggling this much with botw.

Been getting back into Horizon Zero Dawn! I planned on playing more of it sooner but just wasn't finding any interest until the past couple of days. Also picked up Pokemon Scarlet for the first time in six months to try finding a shiny Gimmighoul in the limited raid event that's happening.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

I'm working on playing through all the halo games in (in game) chronological order! Finished halo wars, halo reach, last week, and halo CE yesterday and also started on halo 2 yesterday.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Got myself a steam deck and what do I play on it? Euro Truck Simulator 2. This game, I tell you, it's so incredibly relaxing and doesn't take a lot of brain power so it's great to relax with while sitting on the couch in the evening. 🤷
