I screen share in teams calls all the time and Hexbear and Mastodon are in my bookmarks bar, right there. Half the time in the office I'm just blatantly browsing this site on my second monitor

As a programmer all my friends I’ve made at work are right wing freaks of some sort. Now I work at a bigger company and there’s some folks I assume would be cool but I work remote and don’t really have the chance to be friends.

It’s funny I went to a company social and the politics were terrible. Senior SWE was telling me about how he doesn’t understand how there’s homeless people in Texas since it’s so cheap here (he previously lived in the Bay Area). Obsessed with petty theft shit happening in the bay and just overall a nasty person.

(I use tree style tabs so they can read my tabs when I share my screen -- I didn't hide this place because who the fuck has heard of hexbear)

its very cool what you discovered about your workplace, but can you imagine if your boss wasn't cool and simply googled "hexbear"? I wouldn't want my employer to see just the site taglines here! I feel like you might want to reconsider this policy if you ever work with different people lol
