Stallings is a hero. Stallings translated Hesiod's Work and Days from ancient Greek into English heroic couplets. She in this swell foop of a small translation has given the future a time capsule of what it means for us to speak and think.

Her limericks are just a thrill for any poet or classicist or bless your heart, both.
