This is an opinion piece, how can one person make such sweeping claims about an entire generation without even doing any interviews or anything.

It's a stupid opinion piece too. Ofc the army numbers go down during peacetime... What would be the point of paying for a 500k+ army you aren't using?

Also I'm pretty sure when most people were drafted for WW1 or WW2 they weren't happy about it.

Ah just saw the note about the site being an opinion news site, makes sense then
