If they actually stuck to the shanties, I would listen to the hell out of this radio station.
There are only so many shanties, though. I would recommend filling the remaining broadcast time with ambient sounds of the ocean, so as to prevent shanty exhaustion.
Oh shit, you can even fold the shanties into the ambient ocean sounds diegetically.
"Ship spotted to starbord! Shiver me timbers, it be the vessel of The Wellermen and they be about to treat us to the classic tune o' [song name] recorded upon the year of our lord [publication date]"
The hard part would be setting this up and keeping up the broadcast without having to resort to advertising...
