I could see the US breaking up along political lines, but that's going to go a lot worse for most Red states than they think it is. It's still pretty unlikely.
What's likely going to happen is just more bitching and moaning and gerrymandering.
Let it break up. Once the reds separate, it won't be US territory, and we can bomb them out of existence and re-take the land without those traitorous bastages.
We won't have to. Nearly all, if not fully all "red states" receive more in federal funding than they pay in taxes. If they were to secede their econonomies would crash in short order. It would be like Brexit times 10.
That's why it will never happen. Their politicians know this full well. They aren't that stupid. Them saying otherwise is for their base to eat up.
This is the party of trump mtg beobert and Palin after all I wouldn't bet on that.
Texas barely makes enough to keep from being a Republican welfare state. It's the only one to do so, IIRC.
Texas can't keep their own lights on, they'd be begging to rejoin the union after their first winter. At least, the survivors would be.
As long as they eat one another, I'm okay with this.
