Good, because our aircraft and spacecraft companies are kind of evil, not gonna lie

Well, Airbus' stuff is killing a lot fewer passengers than Boeing's for a start.

But is that because the market is full? No country has been tied to American imperialism like France.

First, regarding the market saturation question -- given how hard it is to make a plane, the market doesn't have room for that many companies. There used to be tens, hundreds of plane companies but they all consolidated post-ww2 but with rising safety standards and efficiency standards, I don't see a world with hundreds of passenger jet makers again. Maybe one or two more, but that's about it.

Secondly, by the west's standards, France is one of the countries least tied to the US. They have their own military, commandment, nuclear program, and a deep doubt about the US following their late arrival for help. They waited 4 YEARS for their arrival and had to bear nazi oppression and pillaging all that time. And given how the current US president behaves, they were right all along.

Third, though, I don't see the relationship between Airbus' safety record and France's independance. Why did you even bring this up?
