Hey @[email protected] do you listen to 5.1 music at all?
Not intentionally I guess? I'm not sure I've ever looked for something that was specifically mixed for 5.1. Tidal has all kinds of high bandwidth stuff in Dolby Atmos that I really enjoy but besdies that it isn't something I usually thinking about.
This song has some neat 3D effects so I thought I'd bring it up.
5.1 isn't really that good. Its nice to have a virtual surround sink set up on my system so that TV shows and movies don't sound like crap though.
A lot of my listening is through a soundbar/subwoofer setup. It does all kinds of surround emulation that really boosts some music and does nothing for other stuff. It's fun to play with but not enough to setup satellite speakers and all that. There's a big difference when listening to high bit rate and Atmos music though. So much more detail comes through it's hard to go back once you get used to it.
