It's definitely because of his work in The Fifth Element.
I mean, the rest of his extensive filmography is nice I guess, but Fifth Element was his Magnum Opus.
Nobody wears tilted hair like Sir Gary Oldman.
Him figuring out the newton's cradle in Rosencrantz and guildenstern are dead puts him in high high standing.
