I guess we should've known that if they had to choose between their ineffectual jabs at Trump, or their racism, they would pick racism every time.

It is racism though. Do you really think it's limited even just to ordinary Russian people in Russia?
It's anti-slavic racism. That's what it is.
People are racialized regardless of any "logical" reason pertaining to race. Even Black & White is not a binary grounded on real metrics, truly, yes- that it includes things tangtiable visible to the human eyes, is one of the main reasons its easy to maintain, but in the end reality is consensus, and reality is created by the material circumstances of the time.
They usually call Russians bad by virtue of being "tainted" by Asiatic blood, so I'd say racism still fits.
