The article is paywalled so I just made a meme about what's actually going to happen. The bullshit peddaled by The Economist doesn't really mean anything. Just a delaying action. To try and hold back the inevitable backlash for a day or three.
I'm sure it says all the fear is overblown. That it's not a big deal and that whole sectors won't actually be replaced like they're already being replaced right now on May 26 2025. That people are silly for worrying about being replaced by technology that is unregulated and has no guardrails whatsoever while the current regime is slashing all the safety nets.
Does lemmy have a remindme? You should set one so you can come tell me I was wrong. If I'm wrong.
